About Mindful Journey

As someone who has struggled with anxiety for most of her life,  quieting the little voice in my head has never been easy. My mind tends to race along at 100 miles per hour, over-analyzing the past, worrying about the future, and ignoring the present. My anxious mind has been the source of a lot of misery in my life, misery that I used to believe I deserved.

Desperate for relief from my own negativity, I started to read books on mindfulness, meditation, consciousness, intention, and other metaphysical wisdom. As I learned more, I began to feel a deep sense of excitement – I felt like I’d found my religion.

I’m writing this blog not as an expert, not as someone who is enlightened, but as a student; someone who is learning, growing, and beginning to open my eyes to the beauty and wonder that is all around me. I hope to provide inspiration to anyone on a similar journey!
